Spring 2026 Events

26 March 2026

We have an exciting programme of events coming up to celebrate the launch of our new exhibition, Edinburgh: City of Medicine- 300 Years of Edinburgh’s Medical School (opening April 3rd). Join us for a lunchtime talk on Edinburgh’s Polish Medical School and an evening lecture exploring the development of the Medical School and the human stories behind it.

Our lunchtime talks continue with upcoming sessions on the consequences of vaping and anatomy and crucifixion imagery in art.

By popular demand, Teen Takeover returns, offering young people aged 12-18 and their accompanying adults a unique after-hours experience in our historic pathology galleries.

Our online series Dissecting the Author is also back, featuring Cat Irving in conversation with Katie Stringer on The Routledge Handbook of Museums, Heritage and Death.

Looking ahead to August, we’re delighted to be part of the Fringe with our new show In Her Hand, running 24–29 August, with all tickets including Museum entry.

Throughout April, join our drop-in skeleton reconstruction sessions, and in May, a special suturing workshop will mark International Nurses’ Day.
