Winter 2026 Events

10 December 2025

In January, we’ll present an immersive promenade performance of a new play by Raymond Friel. The Science of Guilt is inspired by real early Victorian crime cases; however, the verdict is up to you!

In February, we’ll host our rescheduled Lunch time Talk on Gonorrhoea, as well as the next instalment of Dissecting the Author. This time we’ll be joined by Katherine Venables to discuss her book Letters from the Burma Front: Dear Annie and Flo.

Our current temporary exhibition, A Fair Field and No Favour, will close in March, and we have a couple of events planned to mark the occasion. The first, Pioneers in Practice: The Legacy of Women in Medicine, will feature talks from voices in medical history and medicine, accompanied by music from singer-songwriter Hannah Rose Platt. We will also be joined by artist Consuelo Rosa Servan who will lead an art workshop exploring portraiture.

Also in March, RCSEd Librarian Steven Kerr will deliver a Lunch time Talk on how the College Library and Archive has preserved medical knowledge across the centuries.

Last, but certainly not least, our Blood and Guts walking tours will return on Saturday the 24th of January.
