New Temporary Exhibition Opens Saturday the 5th of April

4 April 2025
Our new temporary exhibtion A Fair Field and No Favour: The History of Women in Surgery opens on Saturday the 5th of April 2025.

A fair field and no favour’ was the request made by Sophia Jex-Blake whilst campaigning for access to medical education for women in the 1860s. Her request was simple: equal opportunities with no exemptions.

This exhibition explores the journey of women in surgery and medicine from ancient times to the present day.

The exhibition will be open until March 2026.
