Join us on Thursday 19 November for the Surgeons’ Hall Library Lecture, presented this year by journalist and broadcaster Martin Geissler.
Martin Geissler has been a journalist for 35 years, covering many of the biggest stories of the 21st century and reporting from around the world for Sky News, ITN and now the BBC. Martin will take us behind the scenes of the news business, exploring how the industry works, how editorial decisions are made, and the challenges journalists face when reporting from difficult places.
Martin’s late father, Dr Paul Geissler, was the College’s Honorary Dental Curator, a keen scholar of medical history and a great friend to the RCSEd Library and Archive, so it is a particular pleasure to welcome Martin to give the 2026 Surgeons Hall Library Lecture
The talk will last approximately 60 minutes.
Age Guidance: 16+
