da Vinci Surgeon Console and Simulator

A da Vinci surgeon console from Intuitive Surgical Inc. The surgeon console forms part of the da Vinci robotic surgery system. The console controls the robotic arms and 3DHD camera of the da Vinci patient cart. The console has adjustable height of the controls and system to allow the surgeon to stand or sit and adjust as needed. This console has been adapted by Intuitive especially for our Body Voyager galleries to allow visitors to use the same controls as a surgeon. The purpose built simulation will allow visitors to use the controls of the console to paint. Their efforts will be shown on the console view and on a projected screen in the gallery.
