Set of surgical instruments belonging to Captain A. J. Scott (Merchant Service) who served in the China Navigation Company, around 1900-1925. His last ship was the SS Anking. Not long after his retirement, the ship was captured by pirates disguised as passengers when travelling between Singapore and Amoy.
