Visualising Surgery, modelling innovation by Dr Pankaj Chandak

The use of 3D printing & machines for complex surgery, and to support organs for transplant

Join surgeon and scientist, Dr Pankaj Chandak, as we explore the innovative ways technologies are being used to assist complex surgery. We take a closer look at the first reported use of 3D modelling to plan a kidney transplant procedure between a father and their two-year old daughter. Along the way we’ll cover some human systems, anatomy, physiology and what it is like to work in dynamic medical & scientific teams, as well as seeing how machines can be used to support and assess organs for transplantation.
