Our winter 2022 events programme has launched. We have a fantastic range of talks and workshops coming up over the next few months. Our Blood and Guts: The Twists and Turns of Edinburgh's Medical History walking tours will also return soon, keep your eyes peeled for more information coming soon!

January

25th- Conservation WorkshopHave you ever wondered how we maintain the vast collection of specimens across the museum? Our Human Remains Conservator will show you how!

27th- Dr. Robert Knox- More than the boy who bought the beef
Dr. Robert Knox is often associated with Burke and Hare. We delve a little deeper and uncover some of his lesser known tales.
 

February

14th- An exploration of syphilis- Join our Human Remains Conservator for this talk on the Great Pox.

17th- Heart dissection workshop for adults- We are delighted to welcome back our heart dissection workshops.


March

4th- Anatomy and Art- art workshop
Join artist Rachel Jackson for this half day drawing course.

24th- Gaelic-speaking physicians and scholars of late medieval Europe talk-
 Join Dr. Sharon Arbuthnot for this talk looking at the history of Gaelic in medical texts.
