COVID-19 Visitor Information

7 August 2020

The museum reopened on the 15th of July.  We have a number of measures in place to ensure the museum is a safe and enjoyable space for visitors and staff.

In order to keep our staff and visitors safe during the COVID-19 pandemic, we have introduced several safety measures.

Things you need to know before you visit:

  • Visitors can make a reservation to visit. Reservations are free to make and tickets can be purchased on arrival. Tickets are £8 for adults and £4.50 for concessions. Reservations can be made on our eventbrite page here. Reservations are not mandatory to visit but are recommended to avoid disappointment.
  • Please pay by card, preferably contactless where possible.
  • There will be a one way system in operation. This is marked out by arrows on the floor.
  • Visitors are asked to maintain a social distance of 2 metres.
  • There are hand sanitising stations throughout the museums.
  • Increased cleaning of all touch points and toilets.
  • In line with official advice from the Scottish Government, face masks are mandatory (unless medically exempt)
  • We will be asking visitors to leave contact details to assist with Test and Protect.
  • If you feel unwell with any COVID-19 symptoms please stay at home.
The museum will be open 7 days a week from 10am-5pm. Last entry is 4.30pm
We look forward to welcoming you to the museum.

We have been certified "Good to Go" by Visit Scotland. The Good to Go scheme recognises businesses that have followed government and industry COVID-19 guidelines, ensuring processes are in place to maintain cleanliness and aid social/physical distancing.
