Museum Reopening

1 July 2020
We are working towards reopening on 15th of July. At the moment this is a tentative date set by the Scottish Government and may be subject to change.

We understand that people will be feeling anxious about visitng public spaces like museums again. We would like to assure you that we are taking all possible measures to ensure the safety of our team and visitors. As we are part of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, we are recieiving the best possible guidence on how to operate safely at this time. To do so we will be implamenting the following measures:
  • A one way system will be in operation to guide visitors through the museum to ensure social distancing guidelines are met.
  • Hand sanitising stations for visitors.
  • Increased cleaning of all touch points throughout the museum and toilets.
  • Encouraging card payments wherever possible.
We ask that visitors please stick to these rules when visiting the museum. It is also crucial that if you are showing any symptoms, that you stay home and we will welcome you to the museum once you are better.

We look forward to opening our doors to you all once again.
