Come in from the cold this winter and join Surgeons Hall Museums for our new series of bite sized lunch time talks.
In this lunch time talk College Librarian Steven Kerr looks at the case of George Bryce, the Ratho murderer. The talk will cover the grisly circumstances of his hanging, which brought about the end of public executions in Edinburgh, as well as the life and work of John Smith, President of The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (and Dentist to Queen Victoria) who sketched the only known image of George Bryce.
Talks will last approximately 30mins and there will be teas and coffees available for ticket holders.
