Copy Of A Model Education Talk (3)

Join our Curator as she delves deeper into the history of anatomical models, some of which are on display in our temporary exhibition ‘A Model Education’, which will be available to view after the talk. We will encounter the materials and techniques that were used to create these realistic models. Explore the artist collaborations, and of course the artistic abilities of the anatomists themselves. Lastly, we explore the crucial question of ‘why’ these models were of such importance to a medical education and is this still the case today?

WARNING - This talk will include images of cadaveric material (in model form but very lifelike), including casts showing dissections of women in various stages of pregnancy.

The talk will last approximately 1 hour and then the museum will be open until 9pm for ticket holders only.

Eventbrite charge a booking fee (0.49p + 6.5% of the ticket value) for this event which is included in your ticket price but is non-refundable.
