Potted Pathology is back with a new 3-part series delivered specifically for Surgeons Hall Museums On Demand.

Professor Ken Donaldson, Senior Research Fellow in the Museum, will discuss 3 prominent areas of disease development- Cardiovascular Disease, Neurological Disease and Pathology of the Immune system. Each part of the series must be booked individually and can be enjoyed as an individual talk or as part of the series if you wish to book all three.

 

Lecture 3; Allergy and other pathologies of the immune system, will discuss the 4 types of hypersensitivity reaction as illustrated by asthma, haemolytic anaemia, rheumatoid arthritis and nickel allergy. I will also discuss transplant rejection, autoimmune diseases and immune deficiencies.

 

This is a pre-recorded lecture which lasts approximately 1 hour and delivered specially for Surgeons Hall Museums online program. Ticket holders will receive exclusive access to view this lecture at their leisure between 3pm GMT on Monday the 7th of December for 7 days. Ticket holders can also ask questions in the comments section below the lecture which will be answered by the speaker.
