Our Autumn Events Programme is Here!

2 August 2019

Surgeons’ Hall Museums 2019 Autumn Events Programme is here and it is quite the line-up!

We have a creative writing workshop which will be led by acclaimed novelist E.S Thomson. This workshop will be carried out over 3 sessions and will also give attendees a behind the scenes look at Surgeons’ Hall Museums.

Following the success of our Potted Pathology talks in the spring, we are proud to present Adventures in Anatomy, a new talk series delivered by our Human Remains Conservator, Cat Irving. This talk series will look at 3 different parts of the body and the way our understanding of them has changed through time, and the part they play in culture and the way we look at the world.

At the end of October, we will once again be participating in Museums at Night. This year we will be holding heart dissection workshops for adults.

There will also be a couple of drop-in sessions running- Looking at Microscopes and World Restart a Heart Day CPR lessons. These sessions won’t require a ticket and will be included with standard museum admission.

Our Blood and Guts: The Twists and Turns of Edinburgh’s Medical History walking tour will continue to run every Saturday and Sunday at 2pm. Tickets for the tour also include museum access.

All tickets for events can be found here.
