2018 Summer Events Programme

5 June 2018

Surgeons' Hall Museums new event programme is now live.

The summer events programme is made up of an art workshop, two kids workshops and a brand new walking tour of the city.

Pain and Healing: Chinese Ink Workshop is inspired by our new temporary exhibit 'A Quest for Healing' by artist Zhang Yanzi and will teach attendees the traditional art technique of ink on paper.

You Won't Believe Your Eyes: Eye Dissection Workshop For Kids will teach kids how their eye works and will feature a short dissection of a pigs eye.

During Germs Are Not For Sharing: Kids Workshop, kids will discover what germs look like and then make their own germ inspired art in a petri dish that they get to take home with them.

Blood And Guts: The Twists And Turns Of Edinburgh's Medical History is a limited run of 12 walking tours through the city. Guides will tell stories of famous writers, influential women, cholorform tea parties, grave robbing and the infamous serial killers Burke and Hare. Tickets for the tour also include museum access.

Tickets for all events can be purchased from: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/o/surgeons-hall-museums-869321953
