Museums at Night 2016

31 August 2016

We are delighted to announce that tickets for our Museums at Night events are now available. This year, we are offering four different events across Friday 28th and Saturday 29th of October. For the first time, adult visitors to the Museums will be able to participate in our wildly popular dissection classes. For this class, participants will get to dissect a pig’s heart with our Museum Learning Officer, Anna Downie and Professor Ken Donaldson. In addition to this we are also delighted to offer our first ever preservation workshops. This adult workshop will give visitors the chance to preserve their own heart to take home, whilst learning about the techniques and procedures that occur during this process. This workshop will be led by our Human Remains Conservator, Cat Irving. Tickets for both of these events are extremely limited and we do expect them to sell out.

In addition to this, we welcome back Susie Wilson to the Museums for a Concertina Book Binding Class and a drop-in anatomical Print Making session, where visitors get to create their own prints inspired by the anatomical atlases held in the collection. These events are suitable for ages 7+. The Museums will also be open until 8pm on both days.

All tickets are available from our Eventbrite page.
