Talks and Events at Surgeons' Hall Museum this November

1 November 2014
This month we have our Remembrance Day talk on the 11th of November with Yvonne McEwen, and our St. Andrew's Day talk on the 28th of November with Gordon Findlater.

Yvonne McEwen will discuss the much-neglected story of the Queen Alexandra’s Imperial Military Nursing Service (QAIMNS) during the First World War, whilst Professor Gordon Findlater of the Anatomical Museum at the University of Edinburgh will take a journey across the historic landscape of Edinburgh, where Burke and Hare prayed on the vulnerable to sell bodies to anatomist Robert Knox. Tickets are available from http://buff.ly/10FdAhh

Also, in association with Blackwell's Events Edinburgh, we are delighted to be hosting Val McDermid and Professor Sue Black on the 6th of November http://buff.ly/10FdCpj

And finally, Our exhibition Words and Deeds; Weapons and Wounding makes its way to Leith Library as part of the "Previously... History Festival" for November.

We hope that you can join us this month at Surgeons' Hall Museum.
