The Middle Ages were a grim time to be sick!

With no antibiotics available how were illnesses and diseases treated? Join our Learning Team to discover some of the weird and wonderful cures/remedies that were available from a medieval apothecary. Have a go at preparing a poultice, make a scented bag to ward off the plague and create your own marvellous medieval elixir (or potion) to take home.

NB for parents No herbs will be consumed during the workshop but please advise us of any allergies. Fresh dandelion and mint leaves will be used as well various dried herbs and spices.

Suggested age: 9 +

Each ticket is valid for one child and one acompanying adult

There are 4 workshops available, taking place at 11am and 2pm on 17th & 18th October.
