Join us for a unique creative writing workshop at Edinburgh's world class Surgeons’ Hall Museums in celebration of the ideas and debates that inspired Mary Shelley to create Frankenstein. Facilitated by lecturer and novelist Laura Joyce, you will examine themes of experimentation and medical breakthrough, drawing your inspiration from Mary Shelley's classic novel and the fascinating collections on the history of medicine held at the Museums.
 
Edinburgh Napier Centre for Literature and Writing would like to announce the Frankenstein 200 Writing Contest 2016.
 
First Prize: £100 book vouchers
2 x runner-up prizes: £50 book vouchers
 
Open to all attendees of the Frankenstein’s Workshop of Creation.
 
The competition is free to enter and finalists will have their work published online.
 
Prose: 200 Poetry: 50 lines.
